    Montserrat Armengou is a Catalan journalist and filmmaker who has worked primarily for Televisió de Catalunya (TV3) in Barcelona. She is the author of research documentaries about Franco’s repressive dictatorship. Her films include The Lost Children of FrancoismGraves of SilenceThe Convoy of 927Ravensbrück: A Women’s HellRamon Perera, the Man who Saved BarcelonaGive Me Back My Son!On the Right and Beyond, and I’m Going to Get You Out of There, Grandpa.

    Montserrat Armengou has received the Premi Nacional de Catalunya, Grand Prix FIGRA, Pris Liberpress, and her films have been shown at IFTA, Liberpress-Radio France Internationale, the Monte Carlo and New York Film Festivals. Her documentaries have been discussed at the United Nations, where she has collaborated with the Special Rapporteur on the Promotion of Truth, Justice, Reparation, and Guarantees of Non-Recurrence, and the Working Group on Forced Disappearances.

    Information about the film:

    Some children were separated from their mothers for political or moral reasons and suffered sexual and physical abuse and lack of proper health treatment. Others were sold as slaves or used for medical experiments. Now, as adults, they have yet to see their tormentors brought to justice, or receive any compensation from the State, as has been the case in other countries.
