Peter Bush has translated works from Catalan (by Josep Pla, Quim Monzó, Joan Sales, Mercè Rodoreda, Nachat El Haschmi, and Teresa Solana) and Spanish (by Juan Goytisolo, Pedro Almodóvar, Antonio Muñoz Molina and others). He has also published English translations from French and Portuguese. Peter has received many awards, including the Creu de Sant Jordi, in 2015, given by the Generalitat of Catalonia for the translation and promotion of Catalan literature.

The workshop will include the Catalan writer Teresa Solana, who will talk about her experience of translating and being translated; Professor John London, who will discuss theatre translation; and Carme Calduch, who will give a session on Audio-Visual translation (subtitling).
